Welcome!

First Lady Jessica Doyle speaks to Wisconsin students

Dear Citizens:

Recently I announced my Healthy Kids Initiatives, a broad effort to ensure that our kids are safe, healthy, physically fit, have adequate nutrition, and are ready to receive the best education we have to offer. If our children eat well, exercise, and make informed decisions about drugs and alcohol, they will be more successful students and citizens. By promoting the physical health of our young people through these initiatives, and by engaging them in and out of the classroom, we are helping build healthier communities and healthier children.

On this website, you'll find up-to-date information about Healthy Kids, ranging from my school breakfast initiative to the effort to promote a "focus on fitness first" approach in physical education programs. There's information for students, teachers, and parents alike which I hope you'll find useful.

We all have an obligation to the health of our kids -- and together, we can make a difference.

Sincerely,

Governor Jim Doyle
